Agustín Someillan & Jennifer “La Chiqui Some” Freedman

Cuban trumpeter, producer, and composer Agustín Someillan has teamed up with Jennifer Freedman, an American-born vocalist and percussionist with Latin roots, in an exciting new musical collaboration. Together, they’ve formed the group Los Some Son, blending tradition and innovation in a fresh take on Cuban Son music.

Their upcoming debut album, “Sin Amor No Hay Nada,” features original songs inspired by the rich, influential sounds of classic Cuban music—infused with heartfelt storytelling and modern artistry. The project captures the essence of Son while honoring its deep cultural roots.

With Agustín, known as “El Some,” and Jennifer, affectionately called “La Chiqui Some,” this powerhouse duo brings decades of musical experience and cultural passion to the forefront. Los Some Son aims to create music that not only moves the body but speaks to the soul—celebrating heritage, journey, and the universal power of love and rhythm.
